Xantia brakes, bleed nipple?

Post by Toby_HDi »

Need to buy some tubing to bleed the brakes with once things are finally back together. What size diameter tube is suitable. Not being able to go anywhere I'm having to order online. Halfrauds have some washer tube in 3/16" and 1/8". I know the nut on the nipple is 8mm but not sure what size tube is a good fit.

Toby, PM me your address and I'll post you the pipe I use.
Got it from B&Q for next to nothing so it's easy to replace.

The overflow pipe on the LHM tank cap will do the job. Its the right diameter, long enough, and LHM proof.

That's one of the reasons why this forum is so unique and great.

I use a transparent pipe which helps to see possible air bubbles flow from the nipple into a jar.
Inner diameter is 5 mm and I guess nearest is 3/16".
