C5 LOCKING PROBLEMS
Hi I have a C5 estate 1.6 2006 VTR , it has developed a fault in the last week. When my wife opens the front passenger door (engine running) the tailgate pops open , This also sometimes happens when unlocking the car. My son has a peugeot 407sw and it has also started doing this but with the rear window. Has PSA sent out a special code through the air waves to these or is it something simple? Has anyone else had this problem? . regards John.

I haven't got a solution just commiseration.
Every so often my C5 does a similar thing. When I open the driver's door the tailgate will pop open. The same thing will happen when I unlock the car with the remote.
This will annoy me for a few days or so and then go away and I will then have several months before it happens again. I reckon it's about 4 or 5 months now since it last happened.
A battery nearing the end of its life will apparently cause strange and varied faults on a C5. Possibly yours also?

As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Must be catching?
Ive heard a few people on here saying of this, it was in a fairly recent post, though no one mentioned they had fixed it or any solutions to the problem.
Obviously a computer glitch somewhere (on a C5, really?), maybe it has a fault code stored or maybe its part of the multi-plexed system which has a glitch.
