Just wondered if anyone knew where the above car might be hiding?
My dad bought it from Citroen Manchester when it was a few months old with 1023 miles on the clock.
He sold it in 2003 when around 75k on it.
According to the DVLA the car is currently on SORN.
Would be interested in buying it back for sentimental reasons if anyone knows where it's hiding?
David.

Hi David, there seems to be a whole lot of Activas with the R***RKV registration. One of mine is only a few digits away and I have seen a few more, but not your specific number. First registered owner of mine was Citroen UK.
I wonder if this was a bulk registration by Citroen to offer the cars as used, thereby circumventing some of the governments funding options (tax) when these cars were new. I know many other manufacturers tried this trick to move surplus stock.
If the car is on SORN, is it not worth trying to see if DVLA will release the information?
Mind you, cars can be on SORN and may only be virtual, in reality!
If I see it, I'll let you know.

This one was a Citroen UK car too.
I remember my dad paid £10k for it in 1998 from Citroen Manchester.
I'm just off the phone to the DVLA.
If I fill in a form called V888 and enclose a cheque for a 5'er they'll send me the details of the current owner.
David.

Re: Xantia Activa R716 RKV
Citroen UK registered a whole load of cars so that they could meet sales targets that were set by Citroen France.
This meant that they could offer pre registered cars cheaper to customers then new cars. They were all either delivery or very low mileage cars.
My dad bought one with 1023 miles on it for £9995. They were a lot more then that new I believe.
