Private Messages Stuck

Can anyone help please I've recently sent a few private message but for some reason these messages seem to sit in my outbox rather than moving to my sent items so I'm not sure if the messages have actually been sent/received

The messages have been sent, but won’t go to the sent box until the recipients have opened them.
Usually, it’s because they don’t know that they have messages.
They will only know if they still use the E-mail address supplied to the forum.
There have also been times when the E-mail function didn’t work.
If they watch the forum without logging in, as I do, they may never know.
Never think that you’re being ignored; it’s always things like not being there, not having seen, not knowing.

Not everyone enables the various notification options either so may never know there is a pm waiting for them.
The system is otherwise working fine.

Email the vict... intended recipient instead if there is an email button active in their posts.

I also get a lovely popup box with firefox or IE that notifies me of PM's which is uber cool as it makes life even easier!
