I have recently purchased a 2005 1.9 diesel (non turbo) Berlingo van with 134000 miles on the oddometer.
I have noticed that occasionally the engine 'holds back' particularly on fast 'A' roads at faster speeds (60ish to 80ish mph).
This doesnt happen all the time, just occasionally.
Any advice would be very welcome.
Thank you
Michael

I would also imagine there's a mesh filter in the tank, not sure where it would be in a berlingo.
Otherewise there's the possibility of air getting in and disrupting the fueling, best way to find that out is replace as much of the fuel lines with clear tubes.
Also check how hard your leak off pipes are between injectors, if they're not flexible, then change them.
