Nah doesnt matter what the price is you can keep it C5's are awful cars, I'll stick to xantias cheers.

Nope, 2001 cars onwards I believe. Basically, anything which is taxed by CO2 rather than engine size.

according to the DVLA website, the tax for a C5 is going to be £245 not £400

Provided it was registered prior to 23rd March 2006, I see even for older (pre 2001) cars its going up to £205
