plug gap

plug gap

The most basic question . The spark plugs on Mk1 V6. What did guys gap them to? They are standard type NGK for the engine.

Not critical these days with powerfull electronic ignition.
Important is to get it exactly the same on all plugs - and avoid dropping the plugs.

I think the V6 plugs are dual electrode things that you can't really adjust. I have always just bunged them in as they come from the packet.

I never bung them in from the packet. All the small outboard motors I have are different gap. These are not dual electrode but the common or garden ones that NGK prescribe. 22 thou it will be.
