Visiting Scrapyards

Unread post by admiral51 »

Hi All

Having seen lots of wanted posts and other threads in the Citroen/Activa areas i was wondering if a list what could be termed scarce parts could be posted.I do visit my local breakers quite often (gets me away from SWMBO :) ) just to see whats there.
I am more than happy to take pics/list what vehicles they have incase anything is of interest to anybody.
Maybe a new section updating local yard stock so that all can see whats about.More than happy to go dismantling and posting/FCF couriers onwards

I think this is a great idea Colin

I dont get to breakers much any more solely due to time restraints between home time and work time, but i love a good rummage round a breakers...especially when your not on a schedule and can take your time.

There's a few breakers around my area but not one has any Xantias and hasn't
for the past year or so. The only places I see breaking Xantiae is through wheel
nut or rear mirror for sale ads on ebay.

Took a detour to Autos and Sons at Bottisham near Cambridge today.

A couple of "new" Xantias since my last visit.

The white mk2 is a 2.1 Exclusive, with black electric leather seats. The drivers seat has a bit of scuffing, but I think they would clean up OK, and he will take £60 for the set of seats if you remove them yourself.
Image
The green mk2 had a good door for Lexi last time I saw it, but unfortunately they have sat something heavy on it, and the top of the door is now damaged.
Image
I feel a bit sorry for the poor BX TZD...

I am going back to remove a few parts from the Exclusive, so let me know if you want me to check for the availability of any parts.
