Hydraulic pipe flaring tool hire?

Unread post by rmcdonal »

Hello, does anyone know of a garage/specialist/friend who could rent the flaring tool for the Citroen hydraulic pipes?

I've got a corroded front to rear pipe (Xantia II 110hdi estate) and it looks a bit of a nightmare to access and change at the front. I've already purchased the replacement pipe/seals and I believe GSF can supply the union joints, but I'm stuck for the specific citroen flaring tool and find £200 a tad expensive for the tool especially when its only for a one off pipe.

Any help or advise is very much appreciated!

Thank you...........

Give Martin at Pleiades a call. He should be able to help...

You be lucky, I asked the same question and no one could help.. Think Im gonna have to invest in two tools from Plieades, 3.5 and the bigger one...

Cant afford the big expensive one that ebay have listed.

the problem with the one off ebay is that it is difficult to use under the car while the one from martin is perfect for the job and easy to use the only problem we had was on the original steel pipe as it needs a really good grip of the pipe
