Renault grand espace indicator unit - fitting.

Unread post by AlanDonald »

Hi there,

Recently the front driver's side indicator popped out of my grand espace on the motorway (I didn't notice until I'd gotten home, I heard a clatter under the car and assumed I'd hit some debris). I've picked up a spare and it fits perfectly but I can't see how it is attached. There is a little pin hole but that is broken and nothing inside the car lines up with it anyway.

My thoughts are to pop glue on all the bits that slide in and glue/sealant around the edge of the light and to just slide it in. I don't need to take it out again as I can change the bulb from the inside so does this sound OK?

Hi, your front indicator is held in by a spring, fits in the small hole in the back of the lamp, the spring has a "z" in it that locates in a cut out just behind the lamp, in line with the guide, hope this helps, have a good one. :)

Thanks for that. I think the hole is missing from the one I have. I've held it in place with cable ties and they're doing a good job so far. Much better than glueing in place.
