Xantia Doseur question

Post by VertVega »

I don't have access (anymore :( ) to Citroen Service pages.
Could someone pls confirm if a Doseur valve from a '99 TD Xantia would be compatible with mine, '98 petrol.

PS: I love this word, sounds even better when pronounced in French
"Probleme avec le doseur de ma Citroen Xantia ..."

there is only 1 Doseur valve (control unit ) listed for MK1/MK2 part No. 4860.11, no RP No. referance and no specific modle referance,

it dose not even list a diferent unit for systems with ABS

Thanks for the quick reply citronut.

That means tomorrow I'll remove it from a '99 TD scrapcar :)

Many thanks for the tip Image

I used to have account and password but they have stopped providing free access to the "Weekend mechanics" like me :(
Thanks again.

citronut, encouraged by your post, I gave a try to login to Service pages with my old UserID and password but my attempt had failed.
Then I applied for a new account. It worked and now I have access! Those pages are full of valuable technical data.
I'd like to thank them for providing such a service :)

The scrapyard visit also was a success! I went there for the tailgate locking motor. I got the price on the phone
which was 4 times cheaper than the main dealer's :!: and learned that there are still some few items available on the car.
Doseur was easy to remove since the TD engine room was empty
Again a very good training I'd say :)
