Jacking Up Citroen Xsara

Can anyone tell me where I am supposed to jack up a '99 Xsara 1, and
where I should place the jackstands? At the front of the car, the
metal support (square shaped, hanging from floorpan with a hole in the
middle of it) collapsed last time I tried to jack up the car. And the
main chassis rail running to the back of the car is also dented. So
where exactly do I place the jack and jackstands?!? Pictures would be
excellent, but even a written description would be helpful. Thanks in

Look down the list to 19th April "JACKING" this refers to a ZX but should be about the same for a Xara.

Just quickly, can anyone make a scan of the Haynes manual procedure for jacking up the car? I'm having a great deal of trouble getting the manual in Australia (we sell less Citroens than Porsches here per year!)
