V6 coolant bleed nipples . Any pointers to their hidden position? Am I missing them behind covers that need removed?
Take it the engine drain is the plug at mounting with lil copper spigot protruding?

Hi Lexi,
Yes, there are four.
One on the op of the rad. RH side as you look into the engine bay.
One 5mm Allen hidden on the front bank water distribution pipe and cowering behind a sensor in the vicinity of the thermostat. One 5mm Allen on the thermostat cover and one on the heater matrix elbow.
Method: Open the rad bleeder until coolant flows. Topping the header tank as necessary. Ditto the others, run up engine with expansion tank cap off checking rad gets hot. If it does not you have an airlock and need to repeat. Run until fans come on with a hot rad.
Repeat bleeding sequence. Check the heater matrix pipes get nice and warm.
Switch off engine and don't replace the expansion tank cap until the engine is cold.
If you can't find all the bleed points, I can take a picture this evening on the engine sitting on the rug in my garage.

Rug doctor Malcolm? That rug will need a rug consultant surgeon before it could ever grace a lounge again unless oil spills on rugs suddenly become fashionablecitronut wrote:you will have to hire the rug doctor before you put that back in your lounge
Lexi,
Here is the location of the engine bleeders. I removed the car and gearbox for clarity...
