Bosch pump

Hi there,

As an aside to all my fun the with my bosch fuel pump I have just realised the dampfer is missing.

What purpose was this been fitted to the pump for?

Is that the Small Gas strut on the front of the pump??

Its an Anti surge smoother - thats all really - or its an Anti stall device..

The one on my white estate is a pain, it stops the throttle returning when cold, I keep meaning to take it off, none of the others have them.

I don't know how long it has been missing but there appears to be no difference with operation of the pump.
