hi HDI

i did get a pair for both cars cheap on ebay.. to be honest they seem to do the job really.. for the most part they are quiet and smooth and wipe water, I dont really know what else to expect from them, but I dont think I am really a conneseuir (no way i can spell that) of wipers

I think I payed about £6 for each pair...

Hi Bosch-Aerotwin-Retro-fit-Twin-Pack-24-20-600-500mm AR606S . These seem to perform well .

Champion are good but Bosch are the choice...

I like both Champion and Bosch (I use them in turn or depending on the mood :) ).
About 2 months ago replaced Champions with Bosch 606S twin pack (driver side with spoiler).
Champion is cheaper than Bosch and they are both good.

I have also tried new Valeo Silencio rubber blades last winter. Somehow they didn't impress me

Are those the ones with very floppy blades?
Bloody awful they are, I picked up a set when they were reduced.
Got rid of the passenger one after about a day, the rear one is still on, and I finally got round to swapping the driver's for a "normal" blade yesterday, again from Tescos as frankly they're £3 and last me ages.

Yup , floppy as a very floppy thing !! They leave area's of the screen unwiped at speed and in cross winds !!
Lesson learned anyway , I always avoided Tesco on certain things , car stuff included , but I was tempted and paid the price !
Off to the factors tomorrow for some Bosch I think !

Try the normal shaped ones from tescos, they outlast bosch ones from Halfrauds on Cassy, and their price ranges from £1.50 to £3.

Indeedy, these are excellent. Would really recommend them, nice clean sweep, quiet, look better and perform well.

Only problem i find is if the screen if very curved a little bending of the blades might be needed to get them to fit perfectly. Though they are usually fine for most cars.

Usally available on ebay for around £20 a pair.

I get bosch ones from ebay every now and again for about £10 with the spoiler not fitted. What i tend to do is swap the spoiler over on cars with wipers that allow it or just swap the blade itself over and leave the old cage on as really the blade is needed on the drivers side at speed.

Passnger side ones always need a little curl at the end i feel with Xantias due to the curve of the window where they pickup from rest.

And good cleaning when you clean the car gives them a much longer life...

I've found the Halfords ones to be ok. The spoiler blades on them really hold the blades to the screen at over 150mph  :D
