Seems a bit expensive when i have seen gwo one's go for the same sort
of money mind, but one hell of an interesting doorstop!

may put price down (certainly if anyone here wants it I will)

its probably worth more to me as spares really..

would rather rebuild it myself .. but I am just a bit short of room..

Well, sadly, unless I can find a Tardis going on eBay at a good price, any more projects are out at this time

Currently I have an EPIC in bits on the bench, an ML5 gearbox next in line and a couple of CD Changers waiting in the wings, not to mention the aquisition of a car for Robyn...

I would love to have an ES9 to strip and overhaul but at the moment I just don't have the space....

Make yourself a business plan and start a workshop business, i'm sure work would soon start piling up soon.

I'm so tempted but alas there are issues.

The big issue (as always) is financial. I enjoy a well-paid job, the same one I've had for 34 years now. Life is expensive for me as I have a large, ongoing commitment to my girls and have to see them through university yet.

My employer offers a good pension for 40 years service and it's vital to stay now until the end. It would be financial suicide not to.

Having said that, I'm only seven years off the magic 40 years and I fully intend to leave as soon as I can and if any good early retirement packages are offered or they decide to make redundancies (it's happened in the past) then I'll be the first to raise my hand.

Then, girls more or less independent, mortgage paid, I can then look at
something such as a small hobby-type enterprise specialising in Activas and V6s maybe. By then I reckon most, if not all, will be in cherished ownership and there may be value in having a small specialist as there are already for the earlier Citroens. I reckon I'd enjoy that, so long as I was not totally financially dependent upon it.

And Norfolk might well be the pace to settle. I've always liked East Anglia and Duff Morgan is certainly a big plus-point as well as Pleiades being nearby! One thing is sure. I'm not going to stay around where I am now. Too busy, too crowded, too far from the sea and totally uninteresting. I only stay because my work is here and my children are growing up here. I doubt they'll stay around these parts for long once they decide to fly the nest.

my farm have managed to prise enough of my savings to enable me to keep stuff there..

if anyone needs it badly get in touch, otherwise I may do a partial strip and build next year

It would be a shame to let it go and really they don't eat anything or take up that much space. I trust the other extremely valuable V6-related spare part you have will stay under the same circumstances

That sounds like a very interesting idea Jim, you will surely help to keep their numbers up too.

true though, its only fun becausse you dont have to do it and no one is breathing down your neck wanting it done asap, dealing with jo public is enough to make any job a trial.
