wiring loom for 1.0 ax engine conversion
hi every1,can someone please help my poorly car. hubby has taken the old engine out (1.0) and fitted a 1.6 vtr for me,everything went well but now stuck on the engine wiring loom,but he now has to reduce some wires as the connections are different,as the ax is pretty basic, but not sure which ones...does any1 know what wires can be removed? many thanks

I'd have thought that the 1.6 computer would be almost a necessity for this.
You'll almost certainly be able to get it running on the original one, but it may generate perpetual error lights when things seem out of spec.
Biggest hurdle I can see, is if the throttle body and air flow measurements are different types between the motors.

You need the saxo ecu/loom. The loom plugs are different so a combination of wiring will need to be used. Easy enough to sort. Ecu may need unlocking too?
Best bet is having a look on one of the saxo forums, its a common conversion plenty of info out there.
