I didn't realise that the GS went up to 9,000 revs!
It did go a damned site faster than the official 87mph - off the clock and still accelerating :D

Exactly how I felt when I first bought a Citroen Gs. Brilliant car, now what's
this Citroen thing all about then?

Now after driven and bought a Gs and GSA, a 2CV, a CX, an Xm and a
Xantia I'm totally converted to the Citroen way for ever! I've also tried
but not yet purchased a Ds and passengered in an Sm and had I saved
up the money rather than gone mad and bought duplicates  I would've
made certain I had one of these too years ago as well. These cars are truly
superb Citroen greats and the Conservatoire would be my own personal
Citroen Mecca.

Spoilsport Citroen for not showing their heritage to interested individuals.
:x :? Wouldn't hurt their cause having people leaving such a place inspired
and convinced that a Citroen was all they wanted.

The G is redlined from 6500 though the gauge goes to 8000 so they're
talking bollocks with 9k - cannot recall what the 2CV twin redline is but
would expect the same as the G.
