It is a bit - OK, a lot off topic but I was rather staggered when I drove into my local ASDA car park this evening and spotted... this!.

Yes, it really is a taxi :!:

Really? I was taken in by the Bentley logo's then. It certainly looks a bit clunky for a Bentley I must admit. I feel cheated now.

Yup they had loads of them at work, very ugly and don't look too comfortable.
On the plus side, I believe the boot can be opened from inside it, complete with instructions showing someone leaping out of the boot (and running away from the mobsters who put him in there one would suppose)
Even the Crossfire convertable has such an escape lever, despite the entrance to the boot being dinner plate sized!

Our town had a small fleet of them as Taxis, they replaced Audi A8s!

Do we need such posh taxis :? Should just stick with their Octavias!

Nah...its not....have you seen one up close?

A guy had one in the garage next door to the shop....the biggest engine version..i think it was a 6. something Hemi. All in black with black leather...mobster yes....did it sound awesome...yes, did we all like it ...yes. Would i personally buy one....No, but that doesnt mean its a poor car....

Feel secure in your "Citroeness" people.....

For the record....the guy who is running one as a taxi is a prat surely....Taxi's are a business....its about low running costs and high income.....he doesnt seem to like making money i suppose.

There is a taxi firm near me (Birtley, Chester-Le-Street, Co. Durham) that runs a fleet of them.
