Citrojim's next car?

Unread post by andmcit »

OMG, it's beautiful! You know you want to Jim...

In my capacity as a sad Citroen CX fanatic, I can pop over and have a look
at it for you if you want 20years of CX experience passed over it... :P

I used to have one in this exact colour and age = last car I'll ever lend a
pal for a short while. :(

That is nice isnt it, it suits that colour too.

Looks to only need slight cosmetic work to bring it up to looking its best.

"Selling to help fund an extension" - the likely closing price won't even buy a couple of brickies for a day.

I can never get over how stunningly good UK cars' plastics remain.

As to the idea that such cars are appreciating, I remain unconvinced. There are just not the critical number of fully committed devotees required for maintaining - and presenting to the public gaze - such vehicles.

I looked at quite a nice DTR Turbo 2 Safari a couple of years ago, I might have considred it if I hadn't been able to see the road through the n/s rear sill. :(

An S1 2.5 Auto, 34 MPG ? well I never got that kind of consumption except on very long motorway runs as I remember, much closer to 26/28.

It looks nice and as the guy says the S1's were nicer than the plastic S2's I could be, no! am tempted, every time I see a CX I'm tempted, but the problem with one that age is not the rust you see it's all the bits you don't see just waiting to bubble out and get yer wallet :-~(.
