outer sills most cars i have worked on are welded in place as they form part of the cars structure,

or do you mean the plastic over sills/trim,

why do you ask

Wife hit a bent over metal bollard in a car park and has pushed the cill in.

Had a look to see if i could push it out and there are holes in the back of the cill with rubber bungs in them. If you pop them out and feel inside there is a nut onto what feels like a threaded bolt coming from the outer cill. I am tempted to unbolt them and see if the cill starts to move but i don't want to do that and find it is for something completely different that then drops inside and i can't retrieve!!!!

Was wondering if anyone new or had a link to a parts pdf that shows the components?

Cheers

the door sill is made up out of three skins/layers and dose not show any bolts fixing them together, but there is a piece inbetween the skins just at the bottom of the B post which might be attatched by studs/nuts/bolts,

i have saved the exploded view to my computer but am unsure how to transfer it to the forum
