Apologies in advance for this but I have just been watching this YouTube video collected from another website - a lady was asking how she could download it and burn it to DVD for some of her family who don't have broadband access.

I have it on my computer now and have been watching it.

Now I generally subscribe to the Jeremy Clarkson school of Ecology but this has opened my eyes somewhat.

The commentary, by Glenn Close, is somewhat tiresome, preachy and patronising for anyone with a smattering of knowledge on the subject but the video itself is magnificent.

I'm so impressed with it that despite having it on the computer (Just rename the file in the Linux temp file and it stays there forever) I have ordered the DVD from Amazon to see it in the quality it deserves.

Despite being of the Ostrich persuasion on the subject, it puts forward some very disturbing perspectives on the tenuousness of our existence on this planet and this is the only planet we have.

Apologies for the Non-French, Non-car nature of the video but I'm sure at least a few of the members of the forum will be interested and may not see it otherwise.

Crikey, the film is 1 1/2 hours long  it'll have to wait until I have more time.

Yep, sorry about that. I've watched it in 10 minute segments.

Absolutely the most stunning imagery I have ever seen! What a beautiful planet we live on.

Thank you posting the link Steve, I feel it is wholly appropriate to this forum as it is to humankind itself.

Mind you there is a bit of a French connection. Glenn Close plays the infamous scheming Marquise de Merteuil in Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
