Removing hub nuts

Post by the_weaver »

Large front hub nuts, such as the 35mm ones on the ZX, can sometimes be difficult to remove even with a long bar. Part of the problem is that a lot of the force exerted is getting lost as you compress/expand the car's suspension against the rear wheels which are locked by the handbrake. To avoid this, use a chock on the front wheel, so that you are forcing the front wheel down onto the chock and no force is lost.
