anti-sink valve O-ring

Post by mark_l »

Hi, everybody!
There is slight wetness on rear plug of anti-sinking valve in my Xantia 97' 2.0i.
According to drawing-there is O-ring sealing.
What is material and dimensions of the O-ring?
Generally-what materials withstand with LHM liquid?
Are there specific demands for replacement of the O-ring?
Thanks ahead

Sorry, don't know the size but the rubber with best resistance to LHM is Viton, which as I understand is a Dupont trade name.

Thanks, Dave!
Have You any information regarding replacement of this O-Ring?
Any special precautions for anti-sink valve repair?

Replacement O Rings are generally supplied with replacement spheres, so anywhere that sells spheres should be able to supply one. I'd imagine they would be about £1 from a Citroen dealer, but getting one from Citroen should mean you are supplied the correct type.

Dear blueboy2001!
Talking about o-ring I intended to o-ring installed in anti-sinking valve (rear plug).
Being starting xantia owner I'd like to know whether any precautions are for dismantling and assembling of this valve. Are there any special demands for this operations providing?
As i impressed from the drawing-it is nothing special, but You know-different traps are possible.
Thanks
Mark
