DHX engine

Post by jgra1 »

hi all, am I right in thinking the DHX engine is a slightly updated/modified TD 1905 (XUD TE) engine..

I think the glow plugs are vertical, not sure what else is different.

Reason I ask is that someone from another forum wants to know if his DHX engine could be made a bit more driveable... my first response was to alter the fueling and boost slighty..
Does the DHX use a bosch pump, that could be tweaked?

I get confused by these designations - one is a "CODE" and the other is the engine "TYPE"

For instance, the list I have for just 1996 Peugeot cars; the XUD9TE is D8A, the XUD9TF is D8B, XUD9UTF is D8C
