renault 19 oil leak.

Hi all, my wife has a renault 19 1.8 8v with an annoying oil leak. I changed the Cam shaft seal (belt end) and spent a morning cleaning up the engine bay. After fitting a new cambox cover, took it for a drive and all was fine,. Fast forward two days, and oil has forced its way up through the nuts that hold the cambox cover on and out the cambox gasket new the distributor..... I`m thinking maybe some brteather blocked some where? Or is it built into the oil cap?

sounds like you have crankcase back pressure, possible breather blockage, it should be located at front of engine a big black tubular looking thingy
