Xsara HDi 90 bits
Hi all,
Well my car has been written off as I thought. I am considering getting it back to break it myself to try and recover some of my losses.
However, before I do i wanted to see if anybody on here would want any of the parts from it, as I don't plan on getting another Xsara now.
Just a run down of known good parts....
edit: - Has four almost brand new tyres on it. Brand new Dunlop fast response on the front, 2 Nearly new Dunlop SP Sports on the back. All with very good tread, as new really. 185/65/14
Rear suspension bushes and rear subframe.
Engine and gear box 104k lot's of service history, and serviced with proper spec lubricants and parts every 6k. Runs sweet, and can still be hear running.
Rad fans
Rads
Interior, seats door cards etc in SX trim.
Parcel shelf and a stealth shelf (Stealth shelf being used to hide upgrade speaker in a standard looking parcel shelf)
In tank lift pump, bought and replaced by me about 6k ago. Bought from GSF for over £70
Body panels, except for passenger side doors in dark metalic green most have slight scratches and or scuffs on.
Rear bumper
Lights (Front/Rear/Fog)
Dash parts such as instruments clocks showing just over 104k
ECU's
in fact everything.
PM me if there is any interest for any stuff and I shall let you know what price and what we can do about delivery or collection.
Cheers everyone.
Rob

I presume that it's the saloon? If it were the estate I woukd gladly buy the rear suspension off you.
If it's the SX does it have both door mirrors electrically adjustable? And are both front door window switches of the "one touch to drop down" type? I could also do wuth the passenger seat seatbelt and stalk as I have an airbaf error from somewhere in there.

The passenger mirror is the only electrically adjustable one. Drivers is manual.
The electric window switches are just that unfortunately. Not one touch.
Seat belt and seats are fine. No airbag issues. Warning lights went out on start up as expected.
Side and front Airbag and pretentioners did not fire in the crash as it was obviously not severe enough. (Supprisingly)
All indicator and light switches work and are still fully operational.
The vehicle is a hatchback variety, not estate or piccasso.
Pictures can be supplied on request.
Cheers,
Rob

I guess you want silly money for the engine?? looking at prices of some of these early 8v HDi units, were they made from gold?? Because I never found any gold when I did the Xantia HDi head gasket last week...

I would love to sell the engine, just so I know it was still going for someone else as it's been a peach for me.
I am open to sensible offers. I am not a rip off guy, I don't break cars for a living. I wanted to break it myself so I could at least see the bits being re-used and help out others, plus make a little bit back for my out of pocket expenses arising from the crash.
Basically, if you take the engine out it'll be cheaper, or I can take the engine out and it would be a bit more for my time. But i would say somewhere in the region of £100 for the engine would be reasonable?? As i have said it's done 104k, and runs well. Very little smoke from it ever. Even comes with the 3k old new Bosch Fuel filter and housing etc etc....!

I would be intrested in the whole thermostat housing if its the alu type , my one has a hole in it on the core plug round part but citroen say is not a core plug ,and comes as a whole unit . It sits on the right the head .
But then You may sell it with the engine .. got now where to store other wise I would have the whole lump.

I'll give it a little while to see if I can sell the engine as a whole 1st before separating the main parts off it. It seems a shame to break up a really good engine. However, If nobody wants the lump as a whole then i'll start stripping it down for parts like the rest of the car.
Keep watching this space!!
Thanks again,
Rob

OK. No problem. Let me know ASAP if you want the engine as I have got a couple of requests for bits off it, but would rather get rid complete.
I have access to a van and would have no problem delivering the engine for the cost of the fuel. (Within reasonable mileage)
Dash Vent is yours. I have even done 'The fix' on it which I am sure was from this site, so it's in perfect condition. (not pushed in and falling apart)
Vent is £5...Should hopefully be able to post, if not it'll be a parcel will cost about £5 via Parcel Force.
PM me and we'll go from there.
Cheers,
Rob

Hi Rob
Commiserations on the accident, hope you are on the mend.
I'm after the dash toggle/control for the passenger wing mirror, and also a roof aerial (the flexible mast and the mounting for the roof). Mine's an estate, but I assume the aerials will be the same type?
Let me know if they're available and how much you'd like for them - would need to be posted as I'm up in Northumberland!
Cheers
Greg

I am looking for the wiper/indicator stalk if it's the sx then it should have the stalk operating the computer screen. It comes in one piece.
I am also looking for the front grille mk2 for my 2002 sx the top chevron has gone but I know this is a commom fault so I would be lucky.
If you have any of these 2 items let me know Please,Please, Please.
Many thanks
Alan
