GSA engine photos wanted

GSA Special.
I took my recently aquired(April) my GSA 1300, there were many oil leaks on the engine so I have had to renew oil seals which meant taking a lot of the engine apart. On putting it back together I realise my memorary is not as good as it used to be( it is 29 years since I had a GS engine apart). Does anyone have photos of the top areas of a GS engine they could post on the net, its the sundry brackets I am interested in. Gerry

Have you got a Haynes manual, as that has shots of the engine. I'm sure there's one somewhere in my loft - PM me, or ring 01453 844679, if you need it.

Hi Gerry,

I'm sure I can find you some pictures! Are there not any showing the
tinware and the HT leads in one or two of Citroen's own brochures
- try a Google.

Those yellowed grimy legs that are held on with 8mm bolts clip the joints of
the tinware and are meant just to hold the HT lead away from the metal engine.
I don't expect there'd be more than the outboard sides where the longest lead
runs to teh front cylinders.

I'll try and get back with something asap.

BTW, G's are totally AWESOME - the best car EVER!!! 8)

Hi all, thanks for all your replies. I can see most of the details if I enlarge the pictures you all kindly sent. Ihave the Haynes manual and a disc of the Citroem manual. So with all the information I should be able to complete the task and get the car back on the road. I wanted a car with the Citroen suspension but without the computer electronics that my Xantia has, something I can easily service during the rest of my retirement. Thanks again everybody. Gerry
