Sounds about right; Ranger Rovers can take time to get started.

Out of the frying pan, and into the fire! Mind you, if you do what Dave did (and get a V6 Activa), it will then be out of the fire (or fiery Range Rover) and into the Rocket!

Nah! I think they are nice conversions but with the reduction in V6 Xantias as it is I don't think I could bring myself to break one unless it was as bad as the last one I broke and you need one to do the conversion for the specific V6 bits...

Now converting that V6 activa estate from lhd to rhd would be more enticing as a true sleeper!

Very

You'd need a complete LHD donor for sure... A bent one would do as long as the dash and steering gear was all nicely intact...

I tend to agree about not breaking any viable V6s as donors.. They are too good...

I absolutely agree. The green V6 I broke was very tatty around the edges and the corrosion was coming through the rear quarter. The cills didn't look great either so I was happy to sacrifice it.

I've used my Activa for the first time in 6 weeks today :)

Well, I've finally got round to ordering the parts for the C6, Towbar and Electric's, TPWS sensor, Humidity Sensor and a couple of other bits and bobs, the local dealer will be doing the work, they have a number of C6's on their books so I know it's in good hands. Once that's done she will be getting some much needed paintwork done and also the wheels are going to be dipped and refinished so come the show season next year, she will be the weapon of choice :missile:

Talking about the show season, it doesn't look like I will be able to make to many next year, well, at least the one's I already know about anyway, I will probably miss the National as we have a wedding to attend on the Saturday, which I dare not contemplate getting out of (SWMBO's nephew and Godson) but as I plan to drive, I maybe able to sneak out for the day on the Sunday [-o< , we'll see.... after that, the only other rally I know I'm not working is the D Rally at Little Horwood, so I may just trundle along to that, but I'm not sure...........It's looking a bit bleak next year..... 8-[

Shame about next years rally dates Steve :( Going to miss seeing you :(

This year I was hoping to make them all but for one reason and another I made very few.

I'm still hopeful I can make a couple, but I'm going to have to be selective, because it means me taking Sunday's off which is booked overtime and I hate doing that......

I also need to have a chat with Alan Kemp and try to organise a C6 celebration forget next year, the first ones will be 10..... can you believe it?

Saw Alan on the NEC Classic Car Show CCC stand on Sunday...

That the C6 is now 10 is absolutely flabbergasting
