Hi. A friends 94 Xantia won't start. Keypad seems to accept the code but gives steady green and red and can does not start.
Any known way to unlock it?
THanks.

first thing to try is disconect the battery for about half an hour
if this dose not work then it might be the following
that will/could be the imobaliser, sounds like it might of died,
mine when intermitent and kept cutting the engine out, great just what you need on a motorway,
i ended up removeing the electronics which are embeded inside some very OTT armour on the rear end of the fuel pump,
lots of fun was had by all TEA HE and lots of PERCY WHAT SIT
once you have removed this you can very easily attatch a switched feed to the solanoid fuel shut off valve

Which engine is it ? If both lights are on it means the keypad is not comunicating with the ECU/pump module. This could be caused by no power or earth at the engine ECU, not neccicarily a fault directly with the keypad.
Have all the fuses been checked ?
If it has one fitted check that the inertia switch has not tripped by pushing it down to re set it.
Remove the body & gearbox earth leads & clean the fixing points & re fit (even if they look ok).
Check the 30 pin multiplugs on the inner wings, they are prone to getting corroded & dirty which can cause this problem.
