406 s-plate turbo diesel lx model

what is the small box that is next to the engine management ecu on my 406 shares the same plastic compartment osf behind headlamp ...only asking as this is clicking alot when car is switched off

That's the double injection relay. It feeds power to the ECU amongst other things and is under the control of the immobiliser. Check it has a good earth.
