Saxo / Citroen alarm problem

Post by burratha »

Hi - this is my first post - I was referred to this forum by some kind person from Scoobynet :)
Anyway - I have a problem with the alarm on my wife's Saxo VTR. Its a citroen alarm, and has developed a nasty habit of activating quite randomly.
Is there any key or list to show if the LED flashes relate to any kind of alarm activation?
Thanks in advance.

You'll probably find that it's all down to one of the door locks. It was the tailgate in my case, on my Xantia. The alarm gets to thinking the door is open when it isn't. A replacement lock did the trick.

is it a factory fitted alarm or a dealer fit Texalarm ? doubt it will be a door lock or tailgate lock, its a different set up on saxos,it senses the doors open via seperate pin switches. see my previous post
