hi folks
can any one tell me how to set the Auto volume so that it works ,ok i know you go settings etc and turn it to on but it doesnt seem to work,
any ideas

I guess you have a 2001-2004 model C5, if you repeatedly press the audio button it changes the menu through bass, treble, loudness, balance and auto volume.

I think they are normally set to on at the factory.

Although you don't notice that the volume is increasing, try testing a car without it. You'll soon notice how well the Citroen system works!

Auto volume is supposed to increase according to car speed. From new, mine never has done

It is hard to notice the volume increasing, but when I first had it it was more noticeable because it was not a function on my older car. But as you get used to it you don't really notice it happening.

I have it set but must admit that I am not aware of any increase in volume as speed increases.

yep car is an 02 ,owned it for a couple of years now i keep fixing the problems as they occur,not that ive had much go wrong , but ive never managed to solve this one ,,well the simplest way to test to see if its working is turn the volume to just above mininum at a stand still then start to increase speed the volume should increase ?mine has never done this i suppose its one of them citroen gremlins

any more ideas out there

Well, first of all I would cycle through the options and set it to Autovolume = off and then see if I can hear any difference. You never know.

There is also an option for setting the autovolume using a Lexia but whether this works the same as the display option or overrules it I don't know.

I have it set to on for both the Xsara and C5.

I notice it when I come to a halt at traffic lights after a run at speed when I can hear volume going down.

I can't, in all honesty, say I've noticed the volume increase with an increase with speed but that is probably because the response (changing volume) trails the speed.
