Jay Leno seal of approval....

Post by vince »

How many of you just watched Top Gear?

If you didnt, you should know that Jay Leno was the star in the reasonably priced car.......You know the american chat show host who is a multi millionaire and avid car collector.

Jeremy Clarkeson read out a selection of his 150 car strong car collection which incorporates comes of the worlds finest cars ever made including the likes of the Lamborghini Miura etc....and listed as part of his collection was........a Citroen XM 8)

A car no doubt destined for classic status in the not so distant future...

Damm, missed that :( I watched all of Top gear except that bit. I heard Clarkson say Jay Leno and then decided that if he was interviewing some boring yank it was an ideal time to make a cup of tea. Who is this Jay Leno character anyway? Never heard of him and he seemed to be just another big mouthed yank to me.

Still if he is a fan of the XM, he can't be all bad :)

The end was a touching piece. Is the end really in sight for big V12s? I sincerely hope not.

Well, in that case. What can I say. Top bloke :D I see him in an entirely new light now.

He drove a pretty tidy lap too...

I loved the super-quick Aussie Ute and even the VXR8 Bathurst :P I can forgive them for being Vauxhalls

Did that supercharger ever sing 8)

I second that Jim, what a fantastic sound.. 8)

Never liked Vauxhalls, but those two Holdens, errm I mean 'Vauxhalls', that would be enough to turn me :D

Can't see an XM on his site. Wonder if Clarkson said XM because it's something he's heard of, and thought SM must have been a misprint?!

Just went to see that bit on iPlayer, what good taste he has considering XMs had to be specially imported :D
Interesting to watch the videos he's got on the cars in his garage, especially the ones based in his French section ( :D ) Just watch the 10 minute one where he talks about his love of the SM and the Citroen suspension along with the chap from SM World :D :D

EDIT: It seems that he also own a DS :D
