Flashing Xantia

Post by tim leech »

When I lock and unlock my 94 Xantia with the remote, sometimes the drivers indicator remains illuminated after the inctacors have falshed as they should. and I have to unlock and lock it again so I "catch" it at the right moment.

Any ideas?

I had something like this on an XM, in that case it was the alarm unit that was faulty.

Thanks Steve, this does it even if I dont use the wnd button and activate the alarm, which itself is switched off as it had a tendency to go of when it felt like it!

Hi Tim, are you getting any delay in the operation of the central locking motor? I have only ever come across the indicators remaining on when the vehicle is locked and the alarm set.

Wierd one this one....?

Almost certainly a fault with the alarm ECU, Check it for water ingress, its under the carpet under the passanger seat.
