Post by andy c5 »

thanks to the french car forum for the advice of one of the members richard my fault has now been corrected it is a common fault so check your rear wheels there should be about a 20 mil gap between the caliper and the wheel rim? i have saved £340 as Citroen wanted £200 per side and i got them cleaned and put back for £40
thanks Andy :D

Is this were the caliper has reacted with the rear arm and alloy corrosion has pushed the caliper outward and at an angle??

This is common with the Xantias... I guess all Citroens with this setup must suffer with it..

Glad you got sorted for a good price! Nice to hear..

I've just repaired a friends C5 and the inside of the wheel was scored badly. Corrosion had set in and the calipers were well on the p**s. Bolts holding caliper on are mega tight to undo and tighten and feels like they are going to shear off when trying to undo.
