You're quite right Mikesuperloopy1 wrote:Kev .... is it not the OSF, on the bulkhead above the strut top?red_dwarfers wrote:The RP number tells the Lexia when your car was built so it can identify what ECUs it should expect to find.
I know on the Xantias this is found just behind the NS front strut in yellow paint.
I was trying to picture myself looking at the car and got mixed up between sitting in the drivers seat and looking at the engine bay
Its been a long day

What year is yur Xantia??
If its a Series Two from 1998 S reg onwards, it will be on a plate on the DRIVERS (UK Cars) SIDE door pillar when you open the door, with the tyre pressure guide....
If its an earlyer car its: open the bonnet, looking at the engine, look at the DRIVERS side suspension unit, to your left, and its behind that in yellow... four numbers, the white letters are the colour code...

Thats what an RP number looks like and where you would find it on a Xantia.

Thats the RP on an XM
You might be lucky it could be in one of those places on the Synergie. Sorry even a mighty Google search has drawn a blank.
Once you have this number you need the ignition on to the second position (just before started motor engage) for the lexia to communicate with the ECU's

The RP number on the door pillar started later than 'S' reg, more like 'W' onwards, my 99 'V' HDi has it on the bulkhead.citroenxm wrote:What year is yuor Xantia??
