Tips for a good nights sleep? Dunno if i could post one of them here
Having too much on your mind doesnt help.... so some quality relaxation a few hours before going to bed, for me that means a really cold diet coke and sorting things out on the computer, usually browsing Flickr or Youtube.

Sorry cant help with this one Jim....My wife gets freaked out sometimes at the speed i fall asleep....honestly i have to be careful about even lying on the couch when im tired...
Statistically it takes a human 7 minutes approx to fall asleep....i can do it in about 30 seconds Im dangerous
Ive found the thing that affects me from time to time is an overactive mind...ie when you see floods of images in your head.
The way I get round this is i look straight forward at the back of my eyelids and mentally clear away the images leaving a black screen. (a bit like when old B&W TV's used to switch off to a little dot in the middle of the screen) but i work from inside outwards. You need to keep repeating it over and over as your brain will refuse to stop the image flood but after about 5 to 10 times times your brain slows down and then your ready....sleep time Never fails with me
I used to be like you Vince. I used to joke that I could fall asleep laying on a railway line
Age and so on but now things are a lot better. I'm sticking to a regular bedtime and not taking any caffiene or food for about two hours previously and taking a very heavy book to bed with me. That seems to be doing the trick, along with winding down stadily.
Adam, yes, I think all the V6 stuff and my professional work had an impact. That's all over now and I now no longer go to bed with my head buzzing about how autoboxes work...
