405 Mi16 very heavy clutch - any ideas

Hi All

My new 405 16v has a very heavy clutch, much much heavier feel than my 8v BX tri,

is this the case? does the 16v have some heavy duty clutch or could the cable be dragging or the release lever?

usualy this is a sign of clutch on its last legs,

still sounds like clutch to me as these dont usualy slip as its what we call a back to front clutch (pull clutch)
