Hi citrov6 and a very warm welcome
I only have one V6 but I do have an Activa. They are both wonderful cars but in a very different way.
There are a good few of us V6 owners on here and there have been some recent threads that will be of interest.
Please tell us more of your V6s. We do like to know the full details

Welcome to the forum fellow V6 owner, theres lots of information and great people here.
Tell us more about your V6's, Mk1 or Mk2's, what colour interior, mileage, quirks etc.
I've got a light metallic green mk2 with cream interior, only had a couple of months but loving every min.

I remember the good old days when I was the only person on the anyspares forum with a Xantia V6 . Actually they were not so good, because there was no one else to answer my questions or share the misery of V6 parts prices .
Welcome. It is nice to see womeone else stupic denough to own 2 V6s, although in my case it was something of a mistake which I must correct soon.
I have a cunning plan to get a V6 Activa for my frequent holidays in France, but french registered Xantias are just soooo expensive .
Tell us some more about your cars.

thank you for the warm welcome
the first v6 i have was bought for £5000 , 7 years ago 35kmiles on the clock a bargain, now has 145000miles, this was a good runner the only problem it has is when it was jump started it knocked the rev counter over to one side and blew a relay that stopped the cruise working. this is the metallic red with black interrior
the second v6 is a black exterior with cream interior, bought a year and a half ago with 49000miles a very good example, unfortunately i believe in using the car so i have put 15000miles on it but loved it
its strange i would of expected more quirks from these cars but they perform almost flawlessly, usually just the accumulator needing servicing and it is back to driving like new.
fortunately my commute has been short half the week so fuel costs are probably similar to a smaller engined car. though i think i will lpg one of them soon
a v6 activa i have been thinking about that for a while, i would love to see one in action, the hydractive does cope suprisingly well but a v6 flat round a corner would be something...

Glad to hear all your V6's are running sweet, just as an aside, I hope you've been changing your gearbox oil.
Black with cream interior, wow that must look fantastic, got any pics for us.

Nice to see the V6 owners club is increasing in numbers.
BTW there is a V6 and an Mk2 Activa on ebay at the mo.
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

Anything that puts off that fateful day when a geabox rebuild is required is very good
Russ, I see one of yours has done 140K. Is that on the same gearbox? Mine went to 159K before the the gearbox died but if you read my blog you'll see there was a number of events that might have led to the demise of mine at that point. Had the car been properly repaired after a heater matrix failure, it is possible the gearbox might still have been working.
Black with cream interior Very tasty!

Paranoid?
Probably, still after seeing the state of the '90k miles old' oil which came of my AL4, I'd defiantly play it safe.
Sorry if I'm covering ground you already know citrov6.
