Knowing I've got a Citroen, someone with a 54 plate Grand Scenic has asked me if I've any ideas: -
When the car's left locked, the alarm goes off at random - can be not at all, once, repeatedly. The neighbours aren't happy!
When locking the car, there's an small beep/chirp from the back somewhere. All the doors are locked - so it's not a warning that the car isn't locked.
It's been checked by an automotive electrical specialist who can't find anything wrong (any it wouldn't do it for them!)
Anyone got any ideas please?

Hi, the noise when arming car indicates something is left open, the normal fault is the bonnet switch, when bonnet is closed it don't push switch down enough, to remedy this fault is when bonnet is open find mark on bonnet where switch has been making contact and I normally put a stick on wheel weight in place which will fix the problem.
