solid hard suspension

tried my xm suspension slider switch today for the first time,,i have been using it in normal setting which suits me fine...but decided to try it on max setting today
i drove down long driveway of my work which is fairly smooth but was bouncing around inside at 20 mph....is this normal????
i felt like the youngsters around here in their little corsas with lowered coilovers rattling their teeth with virtually no suspension..

the very top highest setting you must not drive in, as it is for raiseing the car to work on it ONLY, you almost certainly will cause some damage driving in this setting, the same for the very lowest setting, the middle setting is for driveing were you need a bit more undercarridge clearance like a fam track

STUPID QUESTION COMING HERE

WILL THE SUSPENSION LIFT A CARAVAN OR TRAILER OR SHOULD YOU ALWAYS UNHITCH UNTIL ENGINE STARTED AND LEVELLED OUT??

Yes, it will lift the towed vehicle just fine. Fun to watch, too.

A fantastic trick that!

I love watching people struggle, and when I go with the trailer to collect something and have to unhitch I put the suspension on MAX, lower the jockey wheel, then put the lever back to normal, and then repeat in reverse when I hitch back up! Save the need to lift the hitch if needed..

Incase you weren't aware, the suspension helps with jacking the car too.
If you were just changing a wheel, slacken the bolts, set the car on high, raise the jack up to the jacking point then set the car on low, and it will lift the wheel off the ground for you.

If you need to work under the car, again set it on high, then jack it up enough to get axle stands under the end you need to work on, remove the jack and set it on low. The unsupported end of the car drops, lifting the end you need to work on giving plenty of room.

but then after that TEA HE

and NEVER WORK UNDER A HYDRAULIC CITROEN WITHOUT PROPER SUPPORT (axle stands/ramps),

as hydraulic citroens can and have KILLED persons

Talking of being killed, I heard a story about a young lad going around cars stealing fuel by cutting the fuel lines near the fuel tank, he then got to a Citroen BX and ended up cutting the wrong pipe and trapped his leg

A good example of this at the DSM rally with an elderly gent and his shiny 2006 C6 which incidentaly me and dave had a ride in 8)
