Wiring query

Underneath carpet on nearside is alarm control unit? What is thinner section green with yellow trace wire for?
Car is Xantia 1.8i lx mk1

Green with a yellow stripe, is almost certainly a ground wire.

Is it an 11BL or a 2CV?
