xantia 2.0 8v knock sensor

My xantia has an oil leak from what i believe is the knock sensor.
It is positioned under the inlet manifold next to the right hand engine mountining bracket.
I have removed the electrical connector and the sensor is twisting round, however its movement is restricted by the engine mounting bracket.
My questions are, is it possible for this sensor to leak oil and how is it removed?

hello again,
I think this may be the oil level switch, not the knock sensor.
However i still dont know how to remove it!!!
