Activa 0-60
I was lucky enough to borrow a friends private road on his farm... so decided to do a 0-60 in the Activa to see what it looked like. Wheelspin in 1st excepted, i make it a fraction under 8 seconds, which is not bad for 3 up and hot air!

Not bad at all. I tested my V6 a while back with RaceChrono, and got 8.2 seconds (0-100km/h). I got wheelspin through 1st gear, and hit the limiter on 2nd before I realized that I needed to switch to third to actually reach 100km/h.
Well, atleast I reached the time given by the factory.
According to the speedo it hits 100km/h in 2nd easily, but when my speedo is showing 100km/h I'm actually travelling about 88km/h...

Talking of speedos, comparing with my tomtom, it's about 5 over until around 90mph, then it can be as much as 10 or so over, but returns to bang on at 120mph

I took my CT to the French Car Show in May 2004.
I have a printed record of 0-60 sprint time of 9.41 seconds, and a quarter mile time of 16.82 seconds (two up with standard factory boost).
Dunno what the times would be with my boost cranked up?
Anyone know what Citroen state is the 0-60 time of a standard CT?
I was gonna take my CT to this years' FCS, but i'm not gonna bother now, 'cause they dont have the laser sprint lanes set up this year.

When compared to my Navman sat nav, my Activa was doing:-
Speedo / Navman
30 / 27
50 / 46
70 / 65
90 / 82
So, my Activa speedo is a bit optimistic.
When doing the same test in my C5, the C5 is spot on with the Navman.

Speaking of performance times, does anyone frequent Santa Pod?
I don't have an Activa, but fancy taking the 'green goblin' along sometime this summer wondered if anyone fancied a mini meet up.

That’s dam fast!, 4.6 on slicks & 5.3 on road tyres, not bad for a box on wheels
With road tyres thats 2.2 seconds faster than the fastest car I’ve ever driven or been driven in!
That has to be some kind of record for a van? You going to put that lump back in a R5 at some point, I’ll wager with some of that new fangled aerodynamics could shave another .5 second off the time.

There's a significant difference in accuracy between S1 and S2 models with S1's being pretty accurate (my VSX is spot on) whereas with S2's you can add 5+ mph which is more than likely due to the jump the speedo needle does as soon as you move off.

That isn't just mine then! Slams shut when coming to a stop too. Mine reads about 86mph at an actual 80, so you're probably not far off. I'd measure any 0-60 test to 65 on the clock. Or even more given that the standard is now 0-62.DickieG wrote:There's a significant difference in accuracy between S1 and S2 models with S1's being pretty accurate (my VSX is spot on) whereas with S2's you can add 5+ mph which is more than likely due to the jump the speedo needle does as soon as you move off.
