Handbrake wire change 205 GTi
Anyone change the handbrake wire on a 205 Gti (´89)? Is it difficult? Anything extraordinary to think about? Please help me out!

If I have my facts right the 1.6 GTI had drum brakes at the rear and the 1.9 GTI had disc brakes at the rear.
If you have disc brakes then its a cake walk, you don't even need to take the wheel off, just get up some ramps, unhook the cable at both ends and pull it out.
If you have drums then its a bit more involved, like John says, wheel off, drum off.
Be carefull about going under with a wheel off, make sure its safe.

Fairly straight foward. You'll need a 30mm socket with a long lever to undo the hub nuts and new ones to put on at the finish.
