right nrarly got my c5 back to a1
only niggle i have is when changing gear sometime it crunches as though the clutch could do with tiny bit more movement
how easy are they to adjust??

Nothing to adjust really, as they are hydraulic activated like a standard brakes system.
The master cylinder is self adjusting just like a brake caliper taking up wear on friction plates.
You might be able to fiddle another 50K mileage out af a worn clucth by DIY shimming the master cylinder.
Provided the fluid level is correct ...
Well worth an overhaul cleaning parts and replacing the fluid.
AFAIR there is a bleed valve on the master cylinder. Try bleed it as any air would eat from clutch pedal travel.

The clutch uses the same fluid as the brakes, might even benefit from renewing that.
