clutch cable problem

Post by casperdog2 »

The cluch cable plastic clip at the clutch pedal has snapped and looking at it its a job and a half, which is the best way to do this job,I think that I will have to remove the seat just to get a look at it, would it be better to remove the pedal, that looks a laugh to do that, anyway guys any advice that will save me some time and effort would be appreciated, Im off on hols in two days time. (great Eh)
when in doubt get a bigger hammer

Many many posts on here about this. See my instructions at:

Three hours of upside down 'fun'

Slight easier if it's a later car with a self asdjusting cable as the spring is easier to get back on. MK2 cars are also reputed to be easier, and it will be simple if someone has been there already and turned the bolt around.
