Question to Lexia3 users

Post by pk7478 »

Hi, Guys.

I have question about Lexia usage.
Very strange but when I start "Diagnostic"->"GlobalTest" and then Lexia begin to inquiring all devices in car. There's "no" "dialog" with BSI.
Dialog with "Injection" is ok, but no dialog with BSI.

Does anyone had the similar problems?
May be i'm doing something wrong?

What I have:

1. Lexia USB-adapter. Ref:9638 32
2. Software Lexia3 Expert Pack. CD-ROM 42 (342.96) Pack 5.3

The problem did not disappear if to use Lexia CD-ROM 41

Thank you.

Might be a silly question but does the car definitely have a BSI ? what car are you trying it on & how old is it ? Have you checked all the cars fuses ?

Are the Lexia 3s available on places like eBay anything like the Lexia tools used by dealers? And would a Lexia 3 do a non-OBDII compliant car like my 2003 C3?

some of the fleebay machines are CHINESE copys and dont do as much as the genuine UK dealers tool dose, but the genuine UK dealers machines do come up on ebay, and yes it will do a C3, as my LEXIA 2 will also

i dont know for sure, but if it is it will be a wire breaking down as it conects in the back of one or the other plugs on the lead/s,

or as wheeler says maybe your car dose not have BSI on board

Dear Friends.
Car is M59 with SAGEM S2000 PM1 injection.
Engine: KFW (IFL5)
Birth date: April, 28 2008.
Car equipped with BSI+BSM and of course ECU :D

I have an idea. May be somebody removed fuses which responsible for diagnostics via OBD?

An M59 ? , Is that a mk2 berlingo van by any chance ??
I presume you have checked all the fuses ?
On the 16 pin diagnostic socket are you getting ignition controlled live at pin 1 ? Battery live at pin 16 ? & body earths at pins 4 & 5 ?
Pin 11 is the diagnostic line to the BSI.

This may or may not be relevant;
I purchased my interface from a guy who basically serviced the body shop trade, I asked him why he was selling it and his reply was that on some of the current late models from PSA the communications interface had / was changing and the old Lexia would no longer talk to some of these cars, he had purchased a new current interface for his business. There was more detail but as it didn't affect me I didn't pay much attention, however I understand that Actia no longer produce the interface for Lexia 3.2 and you are trying to talk to what must be a nearly new car.

However may be totally irrelevant.

Lexia 2's wont talk to full CAN multiplexed vehicles (C4 & mk2 C5 & above) without a special interface. Lexia 3 can talk to everything with the normal interface apart from the newer Fiat based models (Relay 3 & nemo) which need an additional interface. The replacement for Lexia 3 is not too far away.
