The Xantia estate I recently got was really filthy inside, just like a builder’s car. The boot area was particularly filthy and my poor old Dyson failed to get out all the dirt and muck. More drastic action was needed.

The carpet is easy to take out. It is quite heavy as it is rubber backed and has a further backing that is shaped to fit the corrugated floor.

I laid it flat on the patio and sprayed it liberally with Comma Hyper Clean degreaser, and left it for a while to soak in.

Then I folded it over an old garden table and attacked it with the pressure washer. It was unbelievable how much muck came out. After it had drip dryed it was good as new.

The front and back floor carpets are next in line.

This is the prefered method for cleaning floor mats that valeters use, its the only effective way to clean heavily stained carpets IMHO. Normally use TFR for the job.

Very good idea

I vaxed the seats and floor carpets of the C5 estate last week, couldnt believe how much dirt came out of them. Much nicer now, smells lovely
